So far, what we've mostly seen of Marvel and Netflix's The Defenders has been some photoshoots, a sprinkling of set pics and that less-than-illuminating security video teaser. Marvel Chief Creative Officer Joe Quesada whipped up a nifty poster for the show as gift to the cast and crew, and is offering a look at it via Twitter.
The Defenders finds the four heroes of the Marvel and Netflix shows (Charlie Cox's Daredevil, Krysten Ritter's Jessica Jones, Mike Colter's Luke Cage and Finn Jones' Iron Fist) teaming up to fight a much bigger threat than anyone of them has faced before. Part of that danger is represented by Sigourney Weaver's mysterious Alexandra, who has ties to various dodgy corporations and incredible resources. So, though they don't generally play well with others, the fighters will have to step things up.
The poster also features Elodie Yung's Elektra, and we can expect appearances from Karen Page (Deborah Ann Woll), Foggy Nelson (Elden Henson), Misty Knight (Simone Missick) and, of course, the Defenders' connective tissue, Claire Temple (Rosario Dawson). The Defenders hits Netflix on 18 August.
