Disney and Pixar spilled a few new details, including additional casting news for the Finding Nemo sequel earlier this year at D23. Now comes the latest poster for Finding Dory, which harkens back to one of her most famous catchphrases.
Finding Dory sees Ellen DeGeneres back voicing the titular forgetful Blue Tang, who this time starts remembering fragments about her family and decides to track them down at a marine institute in California. Which naturally entails another quest and meeting some new characters along the way. While Albert Brooks returns as Marlin, Dory will also encounter the likes of cranky octopus Hank (Ed O’Neill), misguided beluga whale Bailey (Ty Burrell), whale shark Destiny (Kaitlin Olson) and Diane Keaton and Eugene Levy, who play Dory’s mum and dad. Of course, it won’t be quite as easy as just showing up…
It’ll be interesting to see how Nemo director Andrew Stanton (and co-director Angus MacLane) tackle another story set in the watery world of fish and other sea life, and where this latest Pixar sequel falls in the ranks of other follow-ups including Toy Story 3, Cars 2 and Monsters University.
Finding Dory will float into UK cinemas on July 29 next year.
