Fed up with bad photoshopping and floating heads? We might have expected any amount of horror from a romance set against a war-torn backdrop, but thankfully there's life in the striking poster design yet. Exhibit A: this new one-sheet for Angelina Jolie's In The Land Of Blood And Honey.
The film, which Jolie also wrote, is a story of forbidden romance and ethnic division against the backdrop of the Balkan conflict. The poster illustrates that concept in blood, possibly shed by one of the billion or so snipers that we saw in the trailer.
There are a few more stills online at Yahoo, giving us glimpses of star Zana Marjanović, and Jolie herself studiously peering at a monitor. She's a director now, after all, and they're always hanging around the monitor. Allegedly, they're checking on filming, although if it were us we'd be sneakily catching up on Community or something during the breaks in filming. This may be why we're not directors.[[Poll555]]
In The Land Of Blood And Honey is out in the US on December 23, just in time to qualify for the Oscars.
