Pixar Planet has scored a new image from Up, next year's big film from Pixar. This is obviously just concept art, rather than a finished still, since the film is still way over a year off. Click the image below for a much closer look.
We're giving most of our Pixar excitement attention to Wall-E, their fantastic looking project for this year, but we like the sound of this project. Monster's Inc. director Pete Docter is in charge of this story about, according to an interview Docter gave to Time magazine, a "coming-of-old-age story about a seventy-something guy" who makes friends with a dappy wilderness ranger and "travels the globe, fights beasts and villains and eats dinner at 3:30 in the afternoon".
That's a cute set up and we like this image, with its mix of traditional Americana aesthetic and action. We heart Pixar.
