New Mission Impossible Poster

Here's a rule of thumb: if you're going to dangle your very expensive star off the world's tallest building, you might as well make some hay from it. And it's a rule that director Brad Bird and co have taken to heart in the latest poster for Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol.

Yes, that's the stunt-loving Cruise hanging by his fingertips - literally - off the Burj Khalifa, the 160-floor, 828m-tall skyscraper that dominates Dubai's skyline. Those nifty gloves are all that's standing between him and a sticky, flat death, as Simon Pegg's Benji Dunn explains in the trailer: "Now remember, blue is glue."; "And when it's red?"; "Dead."

Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol is out in the UK on December 26. Watch the trailer below if you haven't had any coffee this morning and need a jolt of adrenalin. If you have had your coffee, expect palpitations.
