A new comedy

Prospective parents, listen up: here’s what all those baby magazines aren’t telling you. Before you finally commit to having the child, go out on a crazy, months-long bout of bacchanalia to get it all out of your system before your future spawn removes all the fun from your life.

Okay, so perhaps babies are wonderful bundles of gurgling joy (evil, we tell you, evil!), but the above idea is the plot synopsis for New Line’s new comedy script Mild Things.

Michael Colton and John Aboud penned the spec screenplay, which sees a reserved married couple that go on a bender before settling down to pregnancy and parenthood. And, we’re guessing, learn just a little bit about themselves along the way.

There’s no director or cast attached yet.
