After meeting some shady brokers in a back alleyway, New Line has gotten its paws on Justin Haythe’s script Snitch.

Well, the deal was probably in a cushy Hollywood boardroom, but our way sounds much cooler. The story is inspired by true events on a US TV documentary, which saw a loving father’s son facing 30 years in the slammer after being set up in a drug deal. The dad went undercover in the drug world to get the info to save his boy.

Production company Spitfire Pictures will be overseeing the film, but there’s no director attached yet.
