New Line wants to get into a coma. The company has nabbed Chris Downey’s spec script My Beautiful Coma.
It’s a comedy (because comas are always hilarious) which focuses on a married man who falls into a coma after a car crash. His unfortunate state comes with benefits though – every beautiful woman he’s ever fantasised about arrives in his dream world. But it doesn’t last forever – his wife finds a way into his brain-paradise to “save” him.
It’s really no shock to learn that Brett Ratner’s company will be producing the film, though with his duties on Rush Hour 3, we doubt he’ll be directing.
