New Lego Movie TV Spot Arrives

We’re not sure exactly what comedy hand-grenades Phil Lord and Chris Miller, the crazed minds behind 21 Jump Street’s Korean Jesus and the Cloudy With A Chance Of Meatballs’ Speak And Spell monkey, have in store for us on The Lego Movie, but whatever it is, it’s not going to be average. With a little luck it will, in the words of this new Michael Bay-aping TV spot, be “awesome”.

The Lego Movie finds a band of rebels trying to fight against the dictatorial designs of Lord Business (Will Ferrell), who believes that every part of the plastic universe should abide by his rules and all minifigs should know their place.

They recruit a seemingly ordinary chap named Emmet (Chris Pratt), whom they believe is the Master Builder destined to lead them to victory. Sadly for everyone involved, it appears that Emmet is the single most ordinary citizen of the Lego dimension. He’ll need to trust in the likes of Vitruvius (Morgan Freeman), Wyldstyle (Elizabeth Banks) and even Batman (Will Arnett) to help him realise his destiny. The Lego Movie will be with us on February 14.
