In this bleak midwinter, you may feel in need of a little spiritual aid, a little light from heaven to raise your spirits. And the internet now brings you just that, in the shape of this clip from Legion, showing an angelic dust-up between the Archangel Gabriel (Kevin Durand) and the rebel Archangel Michael (Paul Bettany).
Yes, they're both angels, although Michael has cut off his wings to signal his break from Heaven, and come to Earth to protect the as-yet unborn Second Coming from a wrathful God determined to end mankind. And judging by this clip, director Scott Smith has read a few X-Men comics from the Age of Apocalypse era, when Angel/Archangel got bullet-proof wings and used them as weapons.
Legion is out on March 5, but if it continues to look like this much fun we might have to start a campaign to get it released earlier.
