We're still waiting to see the one remaining member of the Defenders line-up, Danny Rand, AKA Iron Fist debut in his first season on Netflix. But in advance of the show's arrival, some new imagery has landed via IGN. Check out the pictures above and lower down the page.
Iron Fist (Finn Jones) is a man on a mission. After his parents’ business partner Harold Meachum causes both their deaths when Rand was a kid, he disappears and learns some incredible martial arts techniques, including a seemingly magical power after plunging his fist into a brazier containing the molten heart of a dragon. They don't offer that at your local dojo; even Cobra Kai would be hard-pressed to match it.
In the series' story, he returns to New York after vanishing for a few years, and sets out like, much like his future compatriots, to use his powers for fighting crime in the city. Among his comrades is Colleen Wing (Jessica Henwick, above), a woman with her own motives.
And this being a show about one of the Defenders, it wouldn't be complete without Rosario Dawson's Claire Temple, who will no doubt be regretting that she's got herself wrapped up with another superpowered type that attracts trouble like a magnet draws metal.
Iron Fist will be on Netflix from 17 March. And once he has completed his duties on the first season, show-runner Scott Buck will be headed elsewhere in the Marvel TV universe, as The Hollywood Reporter has learned that he'll be in charge of the Inhumans TV series that was recently picked up by US TV network ABC. The powerful superhumans (the groundwork for which has already begun on the channel's Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D.) will kick off with two episodes showing in IMAX cinemas starting in September next year before the show starts on US screens.
