New Immortals Trailer Marches In

We got a look at a chunk of Tarsem Singh’s gods ‘n’ warriors battle epic Immortals at this year’s Comic-Con and were also treated to some solid face time with the disgracefully attractive cast. Now there’s a new trailer online for everyone to enjoy, which can be watched below courtesy of MSN.

To be honest, there’s not an awful lot of new material to be found here, mostly just John Hurt in voiceover mode explaining the plot and then lots of people fighting. But then, that’s what’s going to sell the film, isn’t it?

We’re introduced to a time when the Gods led by Zeus (Luke Evans) have defeated their enemies, the Titans, and banished them to a stony prison deep inside a mountain. But now troublemaking, world-threatening King Hyperion (Mickey Rourke, snacking on scenery for all he’s worth) is on the hunt for mythical weapons he can use to free the Titans and invade… Well, pretty much everywhere.

Who can stop him? While the Gods can’t intervene directly in the affairs of men, they do pick a champion, Theseus (Henry Cavill), who must lead an army against Hyperion’s forces. So there’s naturally a load of swords clashing, spears getting chucked and Freida Pinto’s soothsayer being mysterious, encouraging and sexy. Take a look at the trailer and let us know what you think.

Immortals will stride into our cinemas on November 11.
