Reclawed and ready to roll, The Wolverine is heading back to our screens ready to put to rest memories of his last solo screen outing once and for all. Tapping into lore of bushido and yakuza, it sees Marvel's own resident ronin head to Japan to meet - and probably kill - plenty of like-minded people.
These new portraits show Wolvie and enigmatic ronin Yukio (Rila Fukushima), his ally and love interest Mariko (Tao Okamoto), and the mysterious Kenuichio Harada (Will Yun Lee). Head to IGN for the full consignment of snaps.
The film, of course, sees Wolverine travel to Japan, where clashes with the Yashida crime family on behalf of Mariko. It's based on the classic Frank Miller / Chris Claremont comic run, and also stars Hiroyuki Sanada, Hal Yamanouchi, Brian Tee and Svetlana Khodchenkova.
And that's not all for Wolverine goodies. Check out its rather frickin' クール Japanese poster here, watch the full trailer below and/or browse Empire's no-detail-too-small trailer breakdown.
