In their attempt to follow 2012's Wreck-It Ralph, one of the films that helped Disney Feature Animation into its successful current run, directors Rich Moore and Phil Johnston are sending main characters Ralph (John C. Reilly) and Vanellope (Sarah Silverman) online. New images from Ralph Breaks The Internet: Wreck-It Ralph 2 have surfaced courtesy of USA Today and you can find them above and lower down the page.
The sequel's story finds the video game characters' arcade connected to the world wide web for the first time, and when the Sugar Rush game needs a spare part, they decide to hit the 'net to find it. Vanellope, somewhat unsurprisingly, takes to the virtual chaos naturally, while Ralph is predictably confused and annoyed.
Fortunately for him, help is at hand in the form of Yesss (above, voiced by Taraji P. Henson), a smart, stylish algorithm that runs video sharing site Buzzz Tube. An Vanellope is able to meet some of her forebears in the Disney princess world, as teased at last July's D23 event, and featuring many of the surviving voice actors, including Linda Larkin (Jasmine), Anika Noni Rose (Tiana) and Jodi Benson (Ariel).
Expect a lot of jokes about various Disney properties (including Star Wars and Marvel), and sideswipes at some of the more annoying corners of the web. Oh, and Alan Tudyk is of course back, voicing a new character called KnowsMore. For more on him, head to USA Today's site.
Ralph Breaks The Internet will arrive in cinemas on 30 November. A new trailer will be online soon, but for now you can watch the most recent example below.
