As she's proved several times in the past, Jessica Chastain has a knack for bringing humanity to characters you absolutely, positively do not want to mess with. She's set to add to that list with the new drama Miss Sloane, and you can find a fresh picture of Chastain in character above.
In Miss Sloane, Chastain plays Elizabeth Sloane, one of the more ruthless and successful political strategists to stalk the halls of Washington. She's a lobbyist employed by big companies and powerful concerns to try to win over politicians and her latest gig might just be her toughest.
She wades into the attempt to get new gun control legislation pushed through, putting her up against some of the most dangerous opponents she's ever faced and threatening both her job and those few people close to her.
John Madden is behind the camera for this one, working from Jonny Perera's script, and the cast also includes Mark Strong, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Michael Stuhlbarg and Alison Pill. It'll arrive in the US on December 9, but has yet to confirm a UK release date.
