You've likely seen the main cast photo for Fantastic Beasts sequel The Crimes Of Grindelwald. Now, via Entertainment Weekly, we have a new look at Eddie Redmayne's Newt Scamander in action.
Yes, while it looks like he's about ready to take on Pennywise more than hunt for a Niffler, it appears that the magical movie's sequel – scripted once again by JK Rowling and directed by David Yates – is shifting the tone of the story.
"The first film had a level of whimsy; the characters felt like children in grown-up bodies," Yates tells EW. "In this movie, it gets grittier and more nuanced and detailed. It’s quite a romantic film, it’s a thriller, it’s quite an interesting combination of genres you rarely see together. I think it will surprise people."
With Jude Law, Dan Fogler, Katherine Waterston, Alison Sudol and Johnny Depp also in the cast, Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes Of Grindelwald will be out on 16 November next year. For a behind-the-scenes shot of Redmayne and Law, head to EW's site.
