Approaching its release in a couple of months' time, Screen Gems have just released the third trailer for Sinister director Scott Derrickson's Deliver Us From Evil (previously known as Beware The Night). The based-on-true-events tale stars Eric Bana as real-life exorcist cop Ralph Sarchi, with support from Edgar Ramirez (him again), Joel McHale and Olivia Munn.

There's much here that we've seen in previous clips, but trailer 3 gives us a better sense of a New York-wide possession epidemic in the works, plus some new business with its apparent beginnings in the park. We also, towards the end, get a much longer glimpse of Sean Harris, looking like he's seen much better days...

Loosely based on Sarchi's own book, the supernatural police-procedural sees Bana and his team investigating the disappearance of a US marine, who seems to have brought an unpleasant entity back with him from Iraq. Unusually for a modest-sized chiller, it's produced by Jerry Bruckheimer, and it's out in the UK on August 22.

Empire was on the set last summer, so keep an eye on future issues for more.
