Looking to capitalise on the refreshed buzz from its big new trailer, Marvel has released new stills from Captain America: The Winter Soldier. There’s also a first look at enemy fighter Batroc The Leaper (Georges St-Pierre) as dug up by Badass Digest.

With Steve Rogers slowly adapting to life in the present day, the sequel to The First Avenger picks up after the events of Avengers in New York, with Cap working for S.H.I.E.LD. He’s putting his super-strength and other abilities to good use battling evil around the world, but becomes increasingly uneasy about his bosses’ agenda.

Soon, he’s taking his concerns to Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson) and butting heads with the organization’s big boss, Alexander Pierce (Robert Redford) which all leads him on course for a collision with his colleagues. But there are bigger problems to deal with, including the mysterious Winter Soldier. Steve will need help from Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson) and Sam “The Falcon” Wilson (Anthony Mackie, who gets a nice spotlight in the new pics) if he’s going to make it out alive…

Promising bigger action, higher stakes, potential deaths and a Helicarrier falling from the sky, **The Winter Soldier **has been scoring plenty of positive early buzz, with directors Joe and Anthony Russo already in talks to make another. Here’s hoping Marvel’s run of good movies continues when Cap returns to these shores on March 26.
