If you’re still wondering how Batman is going to tackle Superman – a god, let’s not forget – in Zack Snyder’s Batman v Superman: Dawn Of Justice, this new clip should clear things up a little. He’s going to use a Bat-smokescreen and hope like hell that Kal-El is having a seriously off day. Click below for a closer look.
The clip was debuted on the Jimmy Kimmel show last night in a neat bit of Oscars counterprogramming that showcases Snyder’s visual approach to the movie's grandslam fight scenes. There’s little of his beloved speed ramping and slow-mos in evidence, but a wide shot backdropped by the Gotham skyline lends a sense of the epic to this super-tussle.
Snyder's latest finds the Man of Steel (Henry Cavill) criticised for the destruction wrought in his previous superhero outing, a new, hidden threat from Lex Luthor (Jesse Eisenberg) and a more direct challenge from Batman, who figures Superman is an alien threat to humanity. And that's without all the other heroes, including Gal Gadot's aforementioned Wonder Woman.
Batman v Superman: Dawn Of Justice is out in the UK on March 25. Click below for the most recent trailer.
