New Aquaman Character Posters Show Off Heroes And Villains

Aquaman is a little over a month away from release, but just in case you forgot, Warner Bros. and DC are of a mind to jog your memory with some character posters featuring Jason Momoa's Arthur Curry and the rest of the main cast.

The film, directed by James Wan, brings us more of Arthur's story, including how his parents (Nicole Kidman's Atlanna is his mother) met, what happened to bring her back to the undersea empire of Atlantis and the plot brewing to take control of the place even as Arthur, born on land, wrestles with his place in the watery world.

Arthur's half-brother, Orm (Patrick Wilson) has his own designs on ruling the place, and he's busy gathering up support among the kingdoms that make up Atlantis and finding assistance from tech-suited pirate Black Manta (Yahya Abdul-Mateen II). To fight back, Arthur will need the help of mentor Vulko (Willem Dafoe) and the punchy, noble Mera (Amber Heard). He'll also have to win over the likes of King Nerus (Dolph Lundgren). No easy task, especially when he's not even sure if he fits in under the ocean at all...

Looking to channel more of a Wonder Woman feeling than the moody, angry stylings of Justice League, Aquaman will be in UK cinemas on 14 December.
