She’ll next be seen getting the run-around from ol’ Ghostface in Scream 4, but Neve Campbell is looking to both the distant past and the near future when considering her next job. She’s in negotiations to join Roland Joffe’s Singularity.

Joffe is working on the time-spanning drama, which will star Josh Hartnett as a British captain in colonial India circa 1778, and also as an archaeologist who falls into a coma in 2015.

Campbell is close to signing on for the role of Hartnett’s wife in the future tale, a fellow archaeologist who gets into difficulty while trying to unearth a ring from a sunken ship.

Olga Kurylenko, Claire van der Boom and Bipsha Basu are also all part of the cast. The director could use a serious kudos injection after the embarrassment that was Captivity’s controversial poster release and disappointing budget. Joffe kicked off shooting last month in Australia and will also film in India, and we'll find out if **Singularity **can help his reputation some time next year.
