After scaring the public half to death with claustro-tastic cave nightmare The Descent, Neil Marshall is taking his horror to an apocalyptic level.
He’s just nabbed Rhona Mitra for the lead in Doomsday, which follows a team venturing into a plague-ridden country to discover the cure for a deadly virus. They’re forced to confront the waking nightmare that the place has become ever since the infection – codenamed Reaper – forced the government to wall the place off to protect other countries from its spread.
Marshall will start waving the megaphone early next year, with Rogue Pictures providing the cash.
