Neal McDonough – best known for Minority Report – has signed on to two films shooting back-to-back.

First up, he’s joined The Hitcher remake currently shooting in Santa Fe, which Dave Meyers is busy directing and already stars Sean Bean, Sophia Bush and Zach Knighton.

At the same time, he'll work on an untitled film about rugby (you don’t see many of those – particularly in the US). Written by David Pliler and to be directed by Ryan Little, the film sees McDonough as coach of the Phoenix Razorbacks whose son – a troubled teen, apparently (aren’t they always?) – ends up playing against pop’s squad in the national championships.

He's also just finished work on Clint Eastwood's Flags Of Our Fathers and will next be on screen in The Guardian with Kevin Costner. He presumably sleeps in odd-numbered years.
