Pegg, Fraser and Harrelson to play 3 Bad Men

Dead set legend and Empire award winner Simon Pegg has been confirmed to star alongside Brendan Fraser and Woody Harrelson in Three Bad Men. The script? Three hitmen who relocate to the outer suburbs to live a reformed, quiet life. It's the work of (apparently) first time screenwriter Peter Straughan, and Paul Weiland has been chosen to direct. Other projects to be aware of on Weiland's CV include Leonard Part 6, the original TV series of Mr Bean, City Slickers II and Roseanna's Grave. Make from that what you will, though it's worth pointing out that the producing team includes Anthony Minghella. To be honest, this is the first we've heard of the project, and as details remain sketchy, so does our opinion. Frankly, it could be The Whole Eleven Yards or Mr and Mr and Mr Smith, but we'll put our trust in Pegg's judgement. Both Woody's and Brendan's track records for taking offbeat material are commendably adventurous, but not always successful, so we're using Simon as the barometer for this one.
