With Disney and Pixar set to unveil the first full look at Monsters University as part of CinemaCon in Las Vegas on Wednesday, the full voice cast has finally been announced. The fresh batch of tonsil talent includes Nathan Fillion, John Krasinski and Bonnie Hunt.
Fillion, best known as either Captain Mal Reynolds, Richard Castle or simply for his own Geek God status, is playing Johnny Worthington, a horned beast and arrogant president of Roar Omega Roar, a fraternity at the campus that enlists notable scarer students.
Krasinski is “Frightening” Frank McCay, one of the star scaring team at Monsters, Inc, and an inspiration for both Mike (Billy Crystal) and Sulley (John Goodman).
Hunt, meanwhile, is a Pixar veteran from A Bug’s Life, Cars, Toy Story 3 and the original Monsters, Inc. She’s playing a different character this time, voicing Karen Graves, Mike’s grade school teacher.
The rest of the cast includes Steve Buscemi, Helen Mirren, Alfred Molina, Beth Behrs, Aubrey Plaza, Sean P Hayes, Julia Sweeney, Bobby Moynihan, Dave Foley, Joel Murray, Pete Sohn, Charlie Day, Tyler Labine, and, because no Pixar movie is complete without him, John Ratzenberger.
