Nathalie Emmanuel will be back on our screens this summer, returning as computer hacker Ramsey in Fast & Furious 9. For a future film, though, she'll swap vehicular mayhem for blood and horror, as she'll star alongside Garrett Hedlund in The Bride.
Inspired by Bram Stoker's Dracula, the film is set in the present day and finds a young woman (Emmanuel) swept off her feet by a dashing man (one assumes this Hedlund, though the logline doesn't specify). But even as she's falling in love, she discovers a gothic conspiracy.
Screen Gems (which according to Deadline is hoping this might launch a franchise) has Jessica M. Thompson directing, and she's also re-written the script that was originally pitched and worked on by Blair Butler.
The cameras should be rolling at the end of this summer.
