Andrea Riseborough has proved herself to be one of Britain’s best character actors in recent years, from her work in Battle of the Sexes, Brighton Rock, and one of Black Mirror’s most harrowing instalments, to her more playful performances in The Death of Stalin and Mindhorn. Her next project is Nancy – a mystery-drama whose title presents a question: who is Nancy? Is she really Brooke Lynch, the missing daughter of an older couple whose girl was taken from them 30 years previously? And if not, then who does that make her?

Empire has an exclusive look at the film’s poster – a striking watercolor painted by artist Marion Bolognesi, teasing the cryptic identity at the heart of the film.
