Way back when the first teaser trailer for Star Wars: The Force Awakens launched, there was a question posed, we would soon learn, by Andy Serkis’ nefarious Supreme Leader Snoke. “There has been an awakening… Have you felt it?” Now we have an answer in the latest TV spot for the new Star Wars, which you can see over at the film series' Facebook page, linked just in case you’re trying to avoid watching anything else.
Yes, we realise there are those who are now happy to wait for the film itself, and we completely understand that impulse. The new promo does show off some fresh footage and some very nifty moments, so fair warning. But if your Star Wars heart has been set well and truly beating by our new covers, that limited edition Kylo Ren figure cover or just the idea that we’re around three weeks away from the film, then go and enjoy yourself.
With J.J. Abrams in the director’s chair, The Force Awakens reunites original trilogy favourites Mark Hamill, Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher, Peter Mayhew, Anthony Daniels and more, then stirs in new faces Serkis, Daisy Ridley, John Boyega, Adam Driver, Gwendoline Christie, Lupita Nyong’o, Domhnall Gleeson and Oscar Isaac. The movie finally touches down here on December 17 before arriving Stateside on December 18.
