Murphy (And De Niro)’s Law

Eddie Murphy and Robert De Niro are set to co-star in Showtime, a cop buddy movie. It concerns a tough beat cop who is paired with a flash rookie as part of a reality TV show. The show is designed to improve the image of the police department, but the two cops are not immediately enamoured of the idea. Both Murphy and De Niro are no strangers to the 'odd couple' picture - Murphy previously teamed with Nick Nolte for 48 Hours and De Niro is in the forthcoming Fifteen Minutes, where he plays a cop who teams up with a fireman (Edward Burns) to solve a crime.
