Kenneth Branagh's 'tash-tastic take on Agatha Christie's famed detective Hercule Poirot is on the case in the new cinematic version of Murder On The Orient Express. And he'll need all his wits and bristles about him when he has to crack a tough mystery. Check out the new trailer.
Branagh (who also directs) plays the perennial private dick Poirot, and has assembled around him a star-studded cast of screen legends and rising stars – all of whom become suspects when a passenger, a charming "businessman" (read: gangster), played by Johnny Depp, is murdered on the luxury train. That cast includes (deep breath) Daisy Ridley, Judi Dench, Olivia Colman, Leslie Odom Jr., Josh Gad, Michelle Pfeiffer and Penelope Cruz. With the train stopped and snowed in, the hunt is on to find the killer before they can strike again...
While Branagh is competing with the various filmic and televisual adaptations of the story, he's no slouch in the filmmaking department and that cast really is an impressive line-up. Murder On The Orient Express will be with us on 4 November.
