Universal would probably prefer that Maria Bello hold off on talk of more films in the Mummy franchise until after the latest comes out, but the actress told MTV that there will be at least one more undead foe to be fought after The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor.
"I don't know when, but it's going," said the actress who replaces Rachel Weisz as Evelyn O'Connell and is signed for three more, if Universal chooses to make them. "[There will] absolutely be The Mummy 4".
We'd expect this to be dependent on the box office success of the latest movie, directed by Rob Cohen. But others on set, when we visited last year, were making indications that there could be further adventures after the third movie, which is going for quite a different direction than the previous films. Brendan Fraser suggested that there might be a set up to another sequel in another country.
