Disney's (largely) successful run of turning its animated back catalogue into live-action adventures shows no sign of stopping. Mulan is due to march on to our screens next year and we now have a proper look at the movie via the new trailer.

Offering a slightly different story based on the Chinese folktale from the 1998 'toon, the film will nevertheless follow the eldest daughter (Yifei Liu) of an honoured warrior (Tzi Ma) who is spirited, determined and quick on her feet. When the Emperor issues a decree that one man per family must serve in the Imperial Army, she steps in to take the place of her ailing father as Hua Jun, becoming one of China’s greatest warriors.
