Launching this week at the Cannes Film Festival, Quentin Tarantino's latest, Once Upon A Time In Hollywood explores the 1960s world of moviemaking and there are several films featured within it. Several star Leonardo DiCaprio's character, TV star-turned-film wannabe Rick Dalton, and Sony has now released one of the posters for the titles.
Hollywood finds a film industry in flux. It's 1969 and TV star Dalton and his longtime stunt double Cliff Booth (Brad Pitt) make their way around an industry they hardly recognise anymore. As Hollywood's golden age comes to an end, the streets of the City of Angels are filled with fear as the Manson cult's murder spree strikes.
If we're honest, this poster is more fun and creative than the actual posters released for the movie itself (see a couple here) and we'd be happy to see more of an artistic, '60s-style image for it.
With Margot Robbie, Timothy Olyphant, Luke Perry (in his final role), Damian Lewis, Dakota Fanning and Al Pacino just a sampling of the hefty cast, Once Upon A Time In Hollywood will be out in the UK on 14 August.
UPDATE: Another poster is online, this one for Italian Western Kill Me Now, Ringo.
