Jonathan Mostow, best known for directing action movies like Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines, has written a story called House At The End Of The World, which is about to be turned into a film by screenwriter David Loucka and director Mark Tonderai. It's described as a psychological thriller, as are a good 33% of the films being announced today.
The official synopsis has it that this is in the vein of Psycho but for a younger audience, and producer Aaron Ryder told Variety that, "We believe this will be to Psycho what Disturbia was to Rear Window, but with the addition of a strong female lead."
It might be cynical, but this leads us immediately to conclude that this is a teenage version of Psycho, but we're sure they'll cast a blonde to appease the ghost of Alfred Hitchcock.
Tonderai, by the by, has acted on shows like Holby City and in **Kevin & Perry Go Large **(although we shouldn't hold that against him) and directed last year's road-movie-thriller Hush.
