Emily Mortimer’s taken on some interesting roles in her time but this latest – if we’re right here – could be her oddest yet.
She’s signed on to Craig Gillespie’s unusual comedy Lars And The Real Girl. According to Production Weekly, Mortimer has been cast opposite Ryan Gosling, who’s playing the lonely, delusional main character. Which, er, likely makes Mortimer the realistic sex doll he forms a strange relationship with. Can’t wait for the “getting into character” part of the interviews for this one…
With a script by former Six Feet Under staff writer Nancy Oliver, the film cranks cameras in Toronto in October.
