When we last checked in on old-blokes-hit-Vegas-for-a-stag-do comedy Last Vegas, we described it as sounding like Grumpy Old Men crossed with The Hangover. Well, now you can add a flavour of The Bucket List to that description, as Morgan Freeman is in negotiations to co-star.
Michael Douglas and Robert De Niro are already attached to play two of the pals who head to Sin City to celebrate one of their number (Douglas) finally getting married after years as a swinging bachelor. But it’s more than just a reunion for old mates: it’s a chance to settle scores, because two of them (Douglas and De Niro) have an old romantic rivalry that bubbles back up again as the booze flows and the memories flood back.
**National Treasure **/ The Sorcerer’s Apprentice director Jon Turteltaub will be in charge of making sure they don’t blow their wages at the casinos, working from a script originally by Dan Fogelman and since re-written by Adam Brooks and Alan Yang. The cast and crew should be convening this September in Vegas to kick off the shoot.
