With London Has Fallen, Ben-Hur and Going In Style all complete and awaiting release next year, Morgan Freeman shows no sign of needing a break. He's attached to David Gleeson's Down To A Sunless Sea - currently in pre-production - and has now signed up for another action adventure in the form of spy comedy Cold Warriors.

Raja Gosnell (Scooby-Doo, The Smurfs) is the director and Todd Berger (The Happytime Murders) the screenwriter of the project, which will see Freeman as a retired CIA agent with some unfinished Cold War business. The plot involves him recruiting his videogame-obsessed stepson to continue the mission, using his newfangled tech skillz.

Millennium Entertainment - also the home of London Has Fallen and the Expendables franchise - is behind the film, with Avi Lerner, as usual, executive producing. Among the other producers are Robin Schorr, Mark Gill, and Lori McCreary from Freeman's own Revelations banner.

There's no reported start date yet, pending the all-important casting of the stepson role...
