Empire Online caught up with Irish actress Victoria Smurfit at the About A Boy premiere in London last night (14 April 2002) and prised some information out of her on what she's been up to recently. 'I'm doing a film called Bulletproof Monk at the moment and I've been training for it for a few months,' she warned us, 'so don't annoy me, I've a million different ways to hurt you.' The film, which is based on a comic book, stars Chow Yun-Fat as the titular monk who travels the world protecting an ancient scroll. 'We're still shooting - we finish in June,' Smurfit told us, and went on to reveal that she plays opposite Yun-Fat on the bad guy's team. 'I'm a villain. I finally get to play a full-on, evil -I can't say the word - but not a nice lady. I will be kicking some posterior during the process of it and I'm looking forward to it. It's so nice to be paid to be horrible. It's lovely.' So how's it been working with Yun-Fat? 'He's very funny,' she said. 'He can be at one minute, serene poised and elegant and the next minute be a cheeky five year old running around the place causing trouble. He's fabulous.'
