There are spooky goings on at Universal as the studio options Ken Kalfus’ short story The Moment They Were Waiting For.

The plot sees a killer executed, which then creates a strange supernatural effect that has everyone else learns the day that they’ll die. Cue the Twilight Zone music.

Intermission’s John Crowley is directing and United States Of Leyland writer/director Ryan Hoge is penning the script.

Kalfus’ work is already dashing through the Hollywood pipeline – his short story PU-239, about a Russian worker selling plutonium has just been turned into a movie starring Paddy Considine.
