Well, this won’t help the Arrested Development movie push its way any closer to the screen: Mitch Hurwitz, the talented (and very funny) brain behind the Bluth family, has been _busy developing a remake of Lars von Trier’s Norwegian comedy **The Boss of It All_for Universal.

Von Trier’s original film – Direktoren For Det Hele in its native tongue – chronicles what happens when the owner of a small IT company decides to invent a boss above himself so he has a straw man to blame when delivering bad news.

Trouble is, he then sells the company and the new owner wants to meet this mythical manager, so our hero convinces a down-on-his-luck actor to play the part.

It’s not 100% official just yet, since The Wrap’s report was from its sources, with no firm comment from Universal. But it certainly sounds like the sort of project Hurwitz would be involved with, and apparently has Emma Forrest attached to write the script for him to direct.

If you’re still missing the wit and madness of AD, you can comfort yourself with the web chat that Hurwitz and Will Arnett participated in at Empire Towers recently.
