R. J. Cutler is best known for his documentary work, covering topics as diverse as politics (The War Room) and the publishing and fashion industries (The September Issue). But now he has a feature film in the works, If I Stay, and a new cast member to work with. The Killing's Mireille Enos has signed up to join his adaptation of Gayle Forman's novel.
Zombied to the nines as Mrs Gerry Lane in World War Z and immersed in a murky crime conspiracy in AMC's crime series, Enos isn't one for the fluffy stuff. If I Stay, as the title implies, doesn't shy from the tough stuff either. Enos will play the hippish mother of Chloë Moretz's car accident victim, left to sit powerless by her daughter's bedside as the teenager lies in coma.
Cameras should get rolling on If I Stay in late October in Vancouver.
