As work continues to bring Terry Pratchett and Neil Gaiman's cult classic tome Good Omens to TV screens – under the watchful eye of Gaiman himself – we've already had a wealth of casting info. But there is yet more to come, with word that Mireille Enos, Anna Maxwell Martin, Lourdes Faberes and Yusuf Gatewood are all part of the cast.

By turns dark, philosophical and barkingly funny, Good Omens finds Angel Aziraphale (Michael Sheen) and demon Crowley (David Tennant) grown rather fond of Earth and thusly annoyed to discover that the Antichrist is going to show up and bring it to an end. The year is 2018, and a variety of oddball and Biblical characters are caught up in the chaos.

Martin will play the demon Beelzebub, while Enos, Faberas and Gatewood are War, Pollution and Famine, three of the Four Horsemen ushering in the end. As for Death? “We are hoping that Death will be played by Death,” says Gaiman. The way things are going, he may get his wish.

The six-part series will be released on Amazon Prime Video in 2019, followed by a run on BBC Two. The new arrivals join the likes of Michael McKean, Miranda Richardson, Jack Whitehall and Nina Sosanya in the cast.
