Seth MacFarlane’s new movie **A Million Ways To Die In The West **has a new red-band trailer and it’s just as full of splats and swearing as your mum might have been dreading... if she hadn’t gone off him after the Oscars.
Joining ¡Three Amigos! and Blazing Saddles in the very tiny corner of the Western genre where comedies live, it’s got one seriously knowing vibe. A **Winchester '73 **homage this ain’t. Click below to watch it in full but remember, it’s very much a not-safe-for-work scenario. Unless you work in a dockyard.
MacFarlane, who also writes and directs, plays Albert, a timid sheep farmer bewildered by the violence and mayhem of the place he spent 30-odd years growing up in. He loses his girlfriend (Amanda Seyfried) when he ducks out of a duel but finds his inner gunslinger with the help of Charlize Theron’s gutsy dame. Then nasty Liam Neeson turns up and shit gets personal. As with most of MacFarlane’s stuff, this is bound to be Marmite for moviegoers, but it boasts a stellar cast and gives Theron, Neeson, Seyfried and Giovanni Ribisi the chance to flaunt their comedy chops alongside seasoned funsters like Sarah Silverman and Neil Patrick Harris.
**A Million Ways To Die In The West **gets a UK release on June 6.
