Back in 2011, Tate Taylor directed The Help, which saw a female-fronted cast score Oscars and find big success. He's looking to replicate the first element for a new film, Breaking News In Yuba County, which already has Help's Allison Janney on to star. Taylor is now adding Mila Kunis, Awkwafina, Regina Hall, Samira Wiley, Bridget Everett, Jimmi Simpson and Keon Sim to the lineup.

Amanda Idoko wrote the script, which will see Janney as a woman who secretly buries her husband after he dies of a heart attack when she catches him in bed with another woman — and who then finds she’s becoming a celebrity amid the search for her husband, who is presumed to be missing.

While Laura Dern was announced alongside Janney, she's since had to drop out because of scheduling issues. Kunis is taking over her role, playing Janney's sister, a local news anchor desperate to ferret out the real story. And she, along with her fellow new recruits, are just a sampling of people that Taylor is aiming to cast, as Juliette Lewis, Ellen Barkin and Wanda Sykes are also all making deals to appear.

Taylor will have the cameras rolling next month in Mississippi. His latest, horror thriller Ma, will be out on 31 May.
