Middle Men Trailer Is Online

It seems impossible to think now (especially for you younger tykes with your X-Stations and your iZunes), but online shopping was actually invented back in 1979, though it lingered largely in obscurity until around 15 years ago when technology finally caught up. And even then, there was none of the major online trade that we enjoy today. No App store, no Amazon, and, as is the focus of the new comedy Middle Men, no easy way to charge porn-loving people to see naked body bits on the ‘net. But thanks to that very series of tubes, there is now a trailer for the Luke Wilson movie.

Loosely inspired by real events, the plot follows businessman Jack Harris (Wilson) who figured he had the perfect life – a great family and an enviable career as a corporate fixer. But that was before he met Wayne Beering (Giovanni Ribisi) and Buck Dolby (Gabriel Macht), two gentleman with a love for sexy ladies and one cracker of an idea: putting pictures up online and creating a system to let users pay to see them using their credit cards.

Soon, Harris and the gang are rolling in money and success, but then the FBI and some very dodgy people start getting involved. And Jack himself is torn between his wife and a sexy, 23-year-old porn star. Things start to go very, very wrong for our heroes…

The film, which was finished last year but is only now getting picked up properly, launches across the pond in August, but there’s no word on when it’ll make it over here yet. But you can legally gawk at the Middle Men trailer over at Apple.
