Mick Jagger’s work in film has been a bit of a mixed bag. There’s yer Ned Kelly-type performances, but then there’s also Freejack.

But now he’s decided to step behind the camera to produce an animated film called Ruby Tuesday, based loosely on – you guessed it – the Rolling Stones track of the same name.

There’s not much story information available yet, but we do know it follows a single mother trying to find happiness in New York. Paul and Gaetan Brizzi, who created the Firebird Suite segment of Fantasia 2000, will co-write and direct, while Luc Besson is also attached as a producer.
