It appears that there is now a clause in Henry Golding's contract that whenever he's in a film, Michelle Yeoh will also show up. Take new animated movie __ The Tiger's Apprentice_, which already features Golding on voice duties, and will now also add Yeoh and_ *Killing Eve*'s Sandra Oh.
Carlos Baena, a veteran Pixar animator, is stepping up to direct the film, which Harry Cripps, Kyle Jarrow and David Magee have all worked on adapting from Laurence Yap's 2003 children's book. The story follows a boy in San Francisco who meets a shape-shifting talking tiger named Mr. Hu (Golding) and, under his tutelage and protection, is introduced into a magical world that includes an ancient phoenix, a dragon and a clan of evil-doers. Think Harry Potter meets Chinese mythology.
Oh is on to play Mistral, an exiled dragon living in San Francisco, who is friend of Mr. Hu. Brandon Soo Hoo, Bowen Yang, Sherry Cola and Kheng Hua Tan are also in the cast, which Paramount is looking to have in cinemas in 2023. Meanwhile, we'll be on the lookout for Yeoh's stealth cameo in Snake Eyes.
