Back in April, news emerged that Amy Schumer would be following up this year's Snatched with a new comedy called I Feel Pretty. She'll be joined in the cast by Michelle Williams.
Written by Abby Kohn and Marc Silverstein, who are using the movie to make their move to directing, the story follows Schumer's character, a woman named Renee Bennett who struggles with her average status in a world of people who are blessed with perfect looks.
When she falls from an exercise bike and hits her head, she starts to think a spell has made her beautiful, whereas everyone still sees her as she is. The boost to her confidence helps her climb the ranks at the cosmetics company where she works, and she wins the respect of her Avery LeClaire (Williams). Cue lessons about the not-so-skin-depth of beauty. And hopefully a lot of laughs along the way.
Silverstein and Kohn are set to start filming next month. Williams will be on screens in The Greatest Showman and is at work on Ridley Scott's All The Money In The World.
