The toxic aura of the supremely dodgy 2000 film adaptation of Dungeons And Dragons has clearly begun to fade, as work continues on a new stab at bringing the sprawling tabletop game mythology back to screens. Michelle Rodriguez and Justice Smith are the latest rolling the dice on rolls in the next film.
Game Night's Jonathan Goldstein and John Francis Daley are directing, having written the latest draft of the script. Chris Pine is already attached to star, but what he, Rodriguez and Smith will be up to remains locked in a giant vault, probably protected by an orc army, for now.
You do have to wonder whether Rodriguez will be hitting up her Fast & Furious franchise co-star Vin Diesel for ideas, since he's one of the world's most famous D&D fans...
