In 2004, Michael Moore took on the George W. Bush administration and the War on Terror in Fahrenheit 9/11. 14 years later, he’s got Donald Trump and contemporary America in his sights for follow-up Fahrenheit 11/9. The film’s first trailer is here, asking the question that many have found themselves wondering recently: ‘how the f*** did this happen?’

The film is described as “a provocative and comedic look at the times in which we live”, and “the film to see before it's too late”, with the trailer showing footage of Ku Klux Klan cross-burnings, Parkland school shooting survivor-turned activist Emma González, and Moore taking part in interviews with Americans. With snappy editing and an attention-grabbing style, this looks like classic Moore in the vein of Bowling For Columbine, Sicko, and Capitalism: A Love Story.

The film is set for a US release next month on 21 September, and will receive its premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival. There’s no UK release date as of yet. But with Fahrenheit 9/11 being the highest grossing documentary of all time, expect this to get a wide launch.
